Abstract

We propose to observe a sample of 11 relatively concentrated Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) star clusters (SCs) with a large age range, and the typical LMC low metallicity. Our goal is to collect and analyze the integrated light of such metal deficient SCs and present their astrophysical properties and, in the case of very good studied SCs, make them available as template by themself. These templates will be used as reference integrated spectra to study SCs in more distant galaxies, in which the determination of their parameters is a challenge to extragalactic astronomers. This sample will be analyze using different codes to derive and test their parameters and use it to compare between different theoretical models. Given their wide optical range, these integrated spectra can be used in several other applications, for example to solve the problem of template mismatch behaviors, among others.
