Abstract
We propose to observe the supernova SN 2021ltk with GMOS for further classification and spectroscopic follow-up. SN 2021ltk is in TESS field-of-view and it's very likely to see the short-duration shock breakout flash in high-cadence TESS lightcurve. Such signal can put very strong constraint on the progenitor system of this supernova. We will classify which subtype it belongs to with Gemini spectrum, and further combine the spectroscopic analyses with information deduced from TESS light-curve in order to better understand the progenitor system.
