Abstract
I propose to use F2 during poor seeing and partly cloudy conditions to obtain a spectrum between 1 and 2.4 microns of the central regions of the galaxy. Using the long slit of F2 it will be possible to obtain spectra of the inner bulge, SgrA, and the region around SgrA*. A novel aspect of these observations is that the Pabeta line at 1.3um would be sampled, providing insights into ages.
