Abstract
We propose to obtain deep optical photometry to perform detailed studies of some young embedded clusters located in the fourth Galactic quadrant. Most of these clusters have only been identified in infrared catalogues and they are poorly studied or are not studied in optical bands. The most recent optical surveys in that region (e.g. VPHAS+) are not deep enough to get reliable data. Our aims are to estimate the main parameters of the clusters (distance, reddening, age) and to study the basic morphology of the related HII regions. This information will allow us to better characterize the ISM and the stellar formation processes. Analizing several targets it will be also possible to better identify the Galactic structure in this region of the Milky Way.
