Abstract
Recently we have successfully observed and analyzed a sample of 18 bulge stars in the broad metallicity range
-1.5 < [Fe/H] < +0.5 dex using Phoenix/Gemini data.
We have also analyzed a large comparison sample of thin disk and halo stars, as well as a handful
thick disk stars, employing the same spectrograph and techniques in order to minimize systematic errors.
To complete this large effort to undertake for the first time a consistent analysis of
thin disk, thick disk, halo and bulge stars, we ask for one night with Phoenix to
observe a sample of eight additional thick disk stars and two more bulge stars
in the critical regime -0.5 < [Fe/H] < +0.4, where the disk/bulge populations overlap.
