Abstract
We propose to use GMOS-S in the blue medium resolution MOS mode (B600 grating) to measure the metallicities, ages and velocities of young star clusters in the merger remnant NGC6872. The results with the others two observed mergers NGC3256 and NGC4038 will constrain scenarios of the formation and evolution of globular cluster systems.
