Abstract

We propose to leverage our unique narrow-band, metallicity-sensitive CaHK photometric observations to observe one of the faintest dwarf-galaxy candidates known, Draco II, with multi-object spectrocopy. Using GMOS North, we will infer the dynamics and metallicity properties of the satellite. As a result, we will constrain its mass, its orbit and unambigusouly assess its nature. We will also pave the way for future higher resolution observations and extend the current knowledge of the low-mass end of the galaxy mass function.
