Program: GN-2020A-Q-322

We have selected 7 spectroscopically identified white dwarfs with infrared excesses indicative of an unresolved L dwarf companion. We propose this programme to obtain near-IR spectroscopy of these systems to confirm the spectral type of the substellar secondary, providing a sample of new white dwarf-brown dwarf binaries which will be used to test the effects of irradiation on brown dwarf atmospheres.
