Abstract
Wolf-Rayet (WR) and Cataclysmic Variable (CV) stars emit strong winds which profoundly affect their evolution and that of their surroundings. The mechanism(s) that launch those winds, and their morphologies close to their host stars are poorly understood. The Alopeke speckle camera's unique combination of diffraction limited, narrowband imaging with very high contrast offers the possibility to directly image winds much closer in to their host stars than previously possible. We propose a survey of 16 nearby WR stars and 8 CVs to image their innermost winds
