Title:Characterization of the most massive cluster in the miniJPAS (AEGIS) field with Gemini North/GMOS
PI:Rodrigo Carrasco
Co-I(s): Renato Dupke

Abstract

We request short spectroscopic observations of a massive system found in the miniJPAS survey to determine the redshift of member galaxies. The spec-z will allow us to: (1) test mini-JPAS reliability for membership estimation using photo-z, (2) help calibrate the velocity dispersion of this cluster and other system found in the mini-JPAS survey with photo-zs, (3) test the power of the upcoming J-PAS survey and derived spectra, to evaluate member galaxies evolutionary stage with real spectra in high density environment. This information and calibration will be very useful to apply to the other systems in the miniJPAS field.
