Abstract
Kilonova from binary neutron star mergers are thought to be associated with short GRBs which because they are beamed can be seen at great distances. Misdirected GRBs maybe under our noses as the isotropic emission from the kilonova is faint and fades rapidly. We are searching for such candidates with Pan-STARRS, this proposal is for spectroscopy of such candidates.
