Abstract
We propose to perform NIR spectroscopy of the [Fe II]-emitting SNRs to understand and classify the characteristics of SNR spectra. For the purpose, we would like to detect faint lines including H-recombination, [Fe II] hyperfine, and He I lines in JHK bands. The obtained line ratios can be easily compared with the existing model calculation like mappings III code. We can estimate the physical properties such as density, velocity, and magnetic field of the line emitting gas. These results will be basic parameters for understanding the evolution of SNRs itselves and physical conditions of surrounding interstellar/circumstellar medium.
