Title: | GMOS imaging of massive galaxy clusters at z>0.5 |
PI: | Harald Ebeling |
Co-I(s): | Alastair Edge, Nick Kaiser |
Abstract
We request GMOS imaging observations of very X-ray luminous galaxy clusters at z>0.5 discovered by the extended MAssive Cluster Survey (eMACS). Following the same strategy as applied in our program so far, the proposed, moderately deep observations will allow us to assess the optical richness and morphology of these extreme objects, unveil bright gravitational-lensing features, and yield publication-quality images.
