We propose to investigate two unusually extended LINER-like emission-line regions found around low-excitation radio galaxies (LERGs). These extended gas clouds have sizes of $\sim20$ kpc and clumpy distributions similar to the extended emission-line regions found around high-excitation radio AGNs. In addition, we will determine the extent of the LINER-like regions around 4 sources that have strong emission lines and broad/asymmetric line profiles similar to those found in the two confirmed extended LINER sources. We request 8 hours of Gemini N GMOS time for this project.
