Abstract

A large multi-cycle program using WFC3 and UVIS on HST will allow us to study the time variation in the dark energy equation of state parameter w(z). Through these HST observations, we will obtain SN Ia lightcurves of an unprecedented number and quality for high redshifts. We propose two Gemini-N and six Gemini-S Target-of-Opportunity long-slit spectroscopy observations to measure SN features and characterize host environments at 1.1<z<1.8.
