Abstract

THE ORIGINAL PROPOSAL WAS BAND 1 GRANTED IN 2014A AND WAS OBSERVED ONLY IN ONE GRATING (R831 + r + RG610) WITH A COMPLETION STATUS OF 69% DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH GEMINI NORTH TELESCOPE IN THE PERIOD. THE PRESENT PROPOSAL IS A RESUMISSION TO COMPLETE THE OBSERVATION OF THE SECOND GRATING (B600 + g + GG455). The central components of late-type galaxies are characterized by exponential surface brightness profiles with Sersic index that varies from 3.7 in S0 galaxies to 2.4 in Sa-Sb galaxies, and to 1.6 in Sbc-Sd galaxies. NGC 3367 is a SB(rs)c galaxy with an exponential pseudobulge (B/D approximately in the range 0.07-0.1) (with Sersic index approximtely in the range 0.9-1.2) and a very strong bar. This galaxy represents a well-suited case to study the inward gas kinematic, induced by the bar, toward the central region to determine what kind of structures contribute to the evolution of the innermost regions of NGC 3367. To achieve our objective we propose GMOS-N two-slit mode IFU observation of the central kpc of NGC 3367 to analyze the relationship between the gas inner fueling and the pseudobulge phase at the present time.
