Abstract
We propose to make a survey of the mass outflows and nebulae surrounding sixteen massive star targets, including interacting binary systems, luminous blue variables, and Wolf-Rayet stars. The structure and kinematics of the outflows in these systems will be measured using integral field spectroscopy of the He~I $\lambda 10830$ emission line. These Gemini North/NIFS observations will show the importance of binary-related tidal forces, large scale wind shocks, and wind clumping in regions close to the star where their imprint sculpts the geometry and velocity of mass loss. An additional fifteen systems will be observed spectroscopically to determine whether $\lambda 10830$ emission is present in similar systems not previously studied at this wavelength.
