Abstract
We propose to obtain long-slit spectroscopy using Gemini/GMOS-N of the 15 Seyfert galaxies detected as part of our ultra-deep INTEGRAL survey. With these observations we will obtain physically meaningful information about the AGN host galaxies in the local Universe such as ages and formation timescales. Because it was selected from observations at hard X-ray wavelengths, this sample is complete to the highest column densities and is thus the ideal place to perform this kind of study. This proposal is part of our program to systematically study the AGN-host galaxy connection using all available tools.
