Title:Investigation of a J-band Dropout Object
PI:Alan Stockton
Co-I(s):

Abstract

In the course of our IR imaging of z ~ 2.5 radio galaxy fields, we have run across what is likely the best example of a J-band dropout object yet found (J-K' > 4.5). If it is a true continuum dropout, the implication is that z > 10. We request 7 hours of Gemini/NIRI time to test whether strong emission lines might account for the brightness of the object in the H and K' bands.
