GN-2007A-Q-8-8-001 | 2007-01-31 05:03:54 | M1 mirror covers closed, M1 instrument cover open, dome shutter closed, dome lights all on, science fold parked. Measuring about 2-3 counts above the overscan in CCD2. |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-002 | 2007-01-31 05:41:16 | Same configuration as for file 141, same measured counts above the overscan in CCD2. |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-003 | 2007-01-31 06:24:21 | Open M1 mirror covers, configuration otherwise unchanged. Still 2-3 counts above the overscan in CCD2. |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-004 | 2007-01-31 07:02:27 | Send science fold GMOS to Sky, other configuration unchanged. Seeing more counts above the overscan, now have 4 counts. This is higher than we had in the previous three darks but comes nowhere close to the 11 counts we have seen in other darks taken on different nights. |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-005 | 2007-01-31 07:42:18 | Science fold parked again, otherwise configuration unchanged. Now we are back down to 2-3 counts above the overscan. |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-006 | 2007-01-31 08:17:33 | Putting M2 into follow and sending science fold GMOS to sky again. This should be maximizing the amount of light from the dome lights that are getting fed to the GMOS port. This again has about 4 counts above the overscan, same as image 144. |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-007 | 2007-01-31 09:08:39 | Now closing all covers, shutting off all dome lights and parking science fold. Still about 2 counts above the overscan level on CCD2. |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-008 | 2007-01-31 09:45:09 | Slewing the telescope and tracking on a fake target, all systems operational and following but all instrument and mirror covers still closed. |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-009 | 2007-01-31 11:51:23 | 2-3 counts above the overscan level in CCD2 |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-010 | 2007-01-31 12:25:52 | 2-3 counts above the overscan level in CCD2 |
GN-2007A-Q-8-8-021 | 2007-02-26 07:25:31 | I started another sequence of N&S darks after these and noticed that the GMOS CC had white screens. I'm not sure when that happened and if any of these observations were affected so I'm setting them to "check". Subtracting tonights darks from a previous night's gives a difference of only a few counts, so I think they're probably fine. but I don't exactly know how to tell These are fine, compare the S/N with the previous ones and look at the number of charge traps and you can see they are comparable.
